Announcing The (Almost) Official List Of The 100 Music Education Bloggers Campaign

Well, it’s been long and hard but we did it!   We were able to introduce 100, serious, Music Education Bloggers to the Internet world through the ME Blogger campaign in 1 year’s time!  Congratulations to all of you and to all of us for making our campaign goal! Please note that I say this is the “Almost” Official list because I am still waiting to hear back from a couple of folks about retaining their blog in the list as we break forth into the 2009 year.   As I put out the information about “us” into paper format, I want to ensure that everybody on the Official List is still actively blogging so that the readers will have a complete list of ME Bloggers that have been active throughout the year. I’ve had a couple of folks, through no real fault of their own, not able to be as productive as they’ve wanted so I’ve removed them from the list.  Some of your “numbers” may change as I drop down the slots to account for this (sorry!).   I will be celebrating (and inviting all of the ME bloggers to as well!) the 100 ME Blogger list in a number of ways in the coming month and the OFFICIAL, OFFICIAL LIST will be published on January 1st of 2009 with much fanfare.   I was inundated with a number of blog requests for the final slots, so I wanted to make sure that I gave folks a “fair shake” as I looked at the contents of their blogs, the order they were submitted to me, and the number of related posts on the sites.   In the end, I’ve had to not accept quite a few blogs that I probably would have accepted earlier in the year and for that I apologize but there were only 100 spots to fill. It’s my hope that there will be a thousand educated folks blogging about music, education, and technology in the very near future and sharing their expertise -for that, I will pass the torch of recording these bold, new ME bloggers to others to scribe and catalog into the “music history” books.   Make no mistake though, the impacts made of these (us) 100 Music Education bloggers will be felt and “seen” in the blogosphere and Internet world for decades, perhaps, centuries to come as everything we write is being cataloged and recorded for those to read in the future.  The beauty of teaching is the positive impact we have on our students -with the advent of the Internet, the entire world becomes a classroom.  Our thoughts, as written in our blogs, will affect countless thoughts of others, whether we or they know it! As we approach the new year, I am going to encourage all of the ME bloggers to post at least one more time before the new year; perhaps write about what the ME blogger experience has meant to you professionally, self-growth-wise, and/or how it has impacted others around you.   You cannot blog and not be effected by act of the “blogging” itself regardless of whether or not you have 1 or 1000 readers - I know I have.  So without any further “a-do”, I present … drum roll please!… The (Quite possibly!) final of the 100 ME Bloggers: 94. http://jeane-metroyo.blogspot.com Jeane Goforth - Scrollworks and Metropolitian Youth Orchestras 95. http://www.oparp.blogspot.com Dr. Robert Phillips - The Opinionated Arpgeggist 96. http://www.wikyblog.com/CynthiaWunsch  Cynthia Wunsch  - The Unlikely Entrepreneur (Click the Blog Tab) 97. http://mineoladrama.blogspot.com  Joe Owens - MHS Theater 98. http://andyzweibel.com  Andy Zweibel - Music Musings and Other Randoms… 99. http://musicschoolsbc.blogspot.com/  Stephen Robb - Music Schools BC 100. http://paulbailey.us  Paul Bailey - Paul Bailey’s Blog Please stop by and say hello to all these great new ME bloggers! and…  Here is the “unofficial” Official list of the 100 ME bloggers:
